Self-Propelled Horizontal Dredges Engineered For Operational Flexibility

VMI Dredges self-propelled horizontal dredges are engineered to provide operational flexibility, simplified transportation, and efficient dredging performance in a wide range of demanding applications. Designed with optional cable-drive capability and removable twin auger propulsion systems, these dredges allow operators to adapt quickly to changing jobsite conditions and material requirements.

Dual Drive System

Our Self -Propelled dredges come standard with dual propulsion capability offering the option to operate with a cable drive system without any modifications. This gives the operator the freedom to move through open water independently and utilize the cable drive for heavily compacted materials.

Twin Auger Drive

VMI utilizes a twin auger system to deliver propulsion. This system allows the operator to not only deliver thrust by means of propelling water but also allows the ability to lower the augers into the bottom material to take advantage of the additional traction this provides. A rear steer thruster is also incorporated to aid in steering the dredge.
