The MD-820 is a high-production field-proven horizontal cable drive dredging system engineered for demanding sediment removal operations requiring increased flow capacity, reliable solids handling capability, and production-focused performance across industrial, municipal, mining, environmental, and aggregate dredging applications. Built as one of the largest models in the VMI horizontal dredge lineup, the MD-820 delivers up to 4000 GPM of flow while utilizing a heavy-duty recessed impeller dredge pump capable of passing spherical solids up to 7¾ inches in diameter. Designed for operators requiring high-volume material movement in a one-piece transportable platform, the MD-820 combines full-width flow-through cutter head technology, production-focused engineering, and field-proven dredging reliability for demanding operational environments worldwide. The MD-820 also offers an optional closed vane impeller pump configuration for specialized dredging applications requiring alternative pumping characteristics and material handling performance.
