The VMI Edge Dredge Calculator App gives dredging professionals a practical way to run quick calculations, reference key data, and compare project setups from Apple iOS and Android devices.
The video walks through four main areas of the app: Settings, Projects, Reference Data, and Slurry Calculator. Users can choose from five slurry calculators, enter project inputs, switch between imperial and metric units, and reference specific gravity, viscosity, and pipe roughness information.
The paid project section expands the app into a planning tool, calculating dredge production for pipeline length, showing results and graphs, comparing pumps and materials, adjusting pump speed and efficiency, adding booster pumps, and saving projects for side-by-side review.

Hi. I am Guy the Dredge Guy, and I am going to show you the great features of the VMI Edge Dredge Calculator App for Apple iOS and Android devices.
The VMI Edge Dredge Calculator App contains four straightforward topics for you to select from. These four areas are Settings, Projects, Reference Data, and Slurry Calculator.
The Slurry Calculator section provides basic, straightforward calculators for pumping slurries. You may select from five different calculators by simply clicking on the drop-down arrow to expand each calculator. You can use any of the five calculators independently to quickly calculate your results by entering your inputs and clicking on the Calculate button.
If you need information to help fill in your calculator inputs, the Reference Data section of the app provides tables containing specific gravity, viscosity, and pipe roughness information. This data is provided as a reference for the Slurry Calculator and Projects section of the app.
You may also change units across the entire app by going to the app settings and selecting the desired units. Simply click the button to switch between imperial and metric units.
The highlight of the app is a Project section, which provides calculations and graphs calculating dredge production for pipeline length based on the inputs you select and enter. The elaborate calculations take into account numerous factors which affect dredging production to produce clear results and graphs.
Maximum pipeline length, along with production at the maximum pipeline length, is quickly calculated within the results. The app allows you to choose from multiple dredge pumps with the ability to adjust their speed and efficiency levels if desired. You can even add booster pumps to your project to see the results.
Save and compare projects within the app and compare the results for different pumps, materials, and other input variables. The Project section of the app is only available in the paid version of the app.
Gain your competitive edge today with the VMI Edge Dredge Calculator App, available in Google Play and the Apple Store.
